Gear/Flap light bulbs

I needed some replacement light bulbs for my Yak's landing gear and flap indicators. I ordered some BA7S bulbs, which BTW come in a package labeled 3899 bulbs.



They look fine except they have a lip on the metal part of the bulb's base where the glass is mounted into the base of the bulb. This lip prevents the bulb from being inserted into the indicator lens.



Where the heck do you guys buy bulbs without this pesky lip that will fit into the indicator lens?

Steve, We have the standard bulbs. The led version are sometimes available

through Russia.  George

I'm not sure how kosher this is, but... upon encountering this same problem, I literally filed the "bump" down. The bulbs then fit and worked fine...

Have you tried eBay site to get these led bulbs or lights? You will get good deal there

take one of your old bulbs to Auto Zone, Parts Plus, or O'Rily's (sp). Ask them to order you the bulbs they use for supplying the city fire trucks. Those are 24 volt bulbs that slip right in the socket and work fine.

That is what I am using in my 50 and 52.
