Boyd, I agree with you completely. I won't pay $1.00/pt for bottled
water.
Won't pay $50/mo for cable when there are only about 3 movies a year
worth seeing. When I become so disabled I can't move anymore I will
get the big screen tv, cable, lots of drugs and booze.
Until then I shall enjoy the real world for free.

I strongly disagree with you Boyd.  There are places where your to far from the telephone company's CO to get DSL.  Besides some people have to compromise between their expenditures, $30-$60 a month for high speed links or a tank of gas for the plane.  Also some people have to travel whether personal or business and while on the road they like to stay in touch with the group list.  That usually implies dial up.  Also with dial up while most mail clients can screen restrict downloading files by size, the messages still remain on the server until deleted which develops another problem, they fill and over flow your mail box.  While I was working over seas I used to enjoy getting on the list and reading messages.  Would it not be better for people to learn to create there own web page for photos and have a link to their web site.  Most ISP give you an amount of space for use for by the subscriber for web pages.

I think you're talking to the wrong guy, Jerb.  I forget who the guy was who made that comment, but Boyd was replying to it.              Lar.              Do not Archive.
