The Lightning booth is all set up for opening day of Sun N Fun  tomorrow.  Any guess as to what engine is under wraps on the Lightning  fuselage (see photos below)?  Find out tomorrow morning,  It is an  exciting announcement by the Lightning guys and an option for any future  experimental built Lightnings.  They have been working on this for several  months and it will be flying by Oshkosh.  

  

 There are two Lightnings on display, one in the regular booth and one in  the Light Sport Mall which this year is located inside where the ultra-lite area  is.  

  

 Hope to see many of the Lightning group at Sun N Fun.  The weather  looks to be good at least for the first several days.  Right now there are  not as many airplanes as we normally see on the day before opening, but  hopefully more will arrive as the week goes on.  Remember there are two  Lightning forums scheduled, one on Wednesday, 10 April at 1100 in the  forums building, and one on Saturday, 14 April at 0900.  And the annual  Lightning Sun N Fun get together for anyone interested in the Lightning will be  Friday, April 13 at noon in the Lightning Booth (same booth as in the  past).  If you are new to Sun N Fun, the Lightning booth in on the road  behind the FAA building.

Everyone's heard about the new $300k turbo diesel conversion by now, they just pretends they didn't.

Actually, we put the $300K turbo diesel in my Vette, and my Vette engine is  going on the next Lightning.

 Over 400 HP.

 When will you and your family be at SNF.  I want to meet your new  daughter.

Ahhhh.. It has to be that engine from Belgium.  The UL 350is!!  I am stuck in 

an office all week while they play a little golf tournament here in our fair city.

Perhaps you have heard of it, The Master's.  The world is herethis week and

 the skies are crazy with planes much bigger than my Lightning, but not as 

much fun to fly!.. Enjoy the show and send lots of reports.

 Regards to all the Lightning family. My wife expressed interest in coming  to SnF, but we have a slight problem, She is not in good health, and we would  need to rent a golf cart to get around. Do you know if such are available? If so  could you get me the contact info.  

  

 BTW, this would be the first time she has even hinted at getting in an  airplane with me in 40 years.
