I see from Matt's log photos that you cut the forward top skin back to flush with the support brackets that attach to the windshield frame. Â I was considering doing the same since the canopy frame does not really fit under the skin. Â Further the fibre glass fabricated faring will cover this gap between canopy fairing and forward top skin. Â Am I missing something here? Â Has anyone else done this?

Chris,
Yeah, no need to leave those flanges. They just interfere with the skirts. The bezel over the top of the windscreen/rollbar cover the union between the front and the back. Here are some pictures of how I made my rear windscreen bezel and they also detail the area you're talking about.

Chris,
