Has any one found a solid state voltage regulator that will work with the generator on the Housai 285hp engine? Up here in Canada we are stuck by regs to continue using the generator. So, an alternator is not really an option.
My mechanical regulator has packed it in and Doug no longer has replacements.
Can someone confirm that the generator is a type B.
Thanks for the help.
Coop.

Check with Zeftronics in Texas, some time back they had regulator for both A
and B generator. 800-362-8985 or zeftronics.com. The type A model part
number is G2XXPN, which is used on 25, 40 or 50 amp Delco-Remy. At time I
was interested the price was ~$200.
