My used Vixen has a three bladed Ivo prop which from all indications is a great prop. The plane gets off, climbs & cruises well. It does however have a lot of time on it and shows some noticeable leading edge damage. I'm wondering if I should stick with this brand prop or consider another such as Sensenich or Kiev? I'm sure some of you have thoughts.

Hi Skot,

I have a 3-bladed Warp drive prop (ground adjustable) on my Kitfox-II/Rotax 582. It has some adhesive plastic guard strips that serve to mitigate damage. The blades can also have ordered with a nickel-plated strip added to the blades. See: http://www.warpdriveinc.com/  (I have no financial interest nor am I a Warp Drive employee.)

All the best,

Joe Connell

Great comments Joe.

I think that the nickel leading edges should be standard
