I finally gave up and made my own.  I still had my notes, so I made a drawing and am attaching it along with the original Inkscape file.  When you unfold your old boots you'll be surprised how much material goes into them.

When printing the PDF be sure to click "Actual size" and not any kind of "fit" or "shrink" option.  On 11x17" paper the drawing is 1:1 scale.

Fabric stores have a section with slightly thinner canvas for outdoor furniture which works nicely for the boots.

Also get a little scrap of leather about 15mm wide by 500mm long and cut it into 4 equal parts to make a cuff band around the top of the boot.

Ironing after each fold makes things a LOT easier.  It's pretty easy but meticulous work... it took me a couple of nights at the kitchen table to make all 4.

They come out looking like there's no way they'll come together in the right way to make a nice boot, but they do.

Make sure you get washers to go with the rivets to clamp the material well.  I used a drill to make the holes... can't say that was the best way to do it.  A punch would be better, and you can probably use the same punch for the eyelets.  Eyelets can be found at the fabric store.

Good luck!

Jon

Are the boots the same for the control stick, the flap cylinder and the nose cylinder?

I'm assuming those boots are to replace the 4, sticks, flaps, nose strut.

I picture of one installed would be great.

Nice work!
