How making tape can help:
In situations where it is necessary to mark rivet locations for drilling, and the area is of difficult access, one can draw the rivet locations/pattern on a piece of masking tape and carefully apply the tape to the target part.
----
Sharpie lines on UHMW (UHMWPE, Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) are easily erased while handling it. Pre-covering the area where one needs to write with masking tape solves this problem.
----
UHMW is very slippery, what makes it difficult to keep it aligned when clamping the material.
Covering (all or part of) the contact surfaces with masking tape helps.
----
When painting, cover areas that are not supposed to be painted with masking tape (I heard this was the original use of masking tape, imagine that! )
----
Next installment: how to make a space suit out of duct tape.
Cheers
Carlos

Carlos,
In the spirit of space shuttle building, make sure to follow these instructions when getting ready for a work session on your airplane. Only following successful completion of step #12, you will you be in the position to work on an aerospace product such as the Zenith 601. You would certainly look the part of an aerospace professional!
I wish you good luck and many hours of safe flying,
Dave
