Zinc Cromate - Galvanic spray??

Robert, I used two cans that were half-empty (if they were half-full I'd have to turn them upside down, you see... Smile ).
I used a (manual) can opener. I just let the pressure come down after I made the initial hole. Only after it got quiet did I start cutting around.

With a full can, I was thinking of turning it upside down and pressing the valve to release the pressure. It will spray a bit of the primer, and then it should be the propelant only coming out. Then it should be safe to puncture it (that's the procedure for cleaning the valve).

I am unfamiliar with the "Galvanic spray"... can you tell me more?
