Does anyone know a good place to buy prop bolts? I have a classic iv thats
been in construction for quit a while and would like to finish it off. I
just bought a prop for a Rotax 912, the prop and plate are about 1.25" and
the 912 is pre 1995 so requires 8MM bolts. I'm having a hard time finding
what I think will work.

assume you tried the prop manufacturer for the appropriate prop bolts and
any related hardware such as spacers , crush washers, you may be surprised
what else is called for.

NOT FASTENAL
They are POOR choice.
Take it from a guy who spends millions of dollars a week and I refuse to buy any fasteners/harware of lifting devices from Fastenal.
Due to they buy chinese and quality is poor at best.
You need certified in the real world guys and in aviation it is the real world.

I agree with the AN quality! If your bolts are metric then AN hardware is not available... In that case get your bolts from the prop distributor. As with any bolt but especially with longer prop bolts holding composite props be sure to torque the bolts with a calibrated torque wrench. Make that a RECENTLY CALIBRATED torque wrench.
