What have people been using for brake lines?
(Not that my project is going anywhere without wheels, but...)

I used the clear plastic tubing that came with the kit. I believe it’s nylon.

I used the supplied nylon product. On the lines that are exposed to the
elements I ran the brake lines inside an aluminum tube. This makes for
a clean and I believe functional install. I can send pictures if you
would like.

I used the high pressure plactic tubing and routed the rear of the landing gear legs with a 1/4 inch bit, fitted the tubing , applied a little silicon and a couple of small clamps.

I routed the nylon tubes from the master cylinders back through the rudder cable tunnel then under the seats and out the fuselage sides through grommets under the wing just behind the landing gear spring. I drilled and tapped holes on the rear of the spring for adel clamps to hold the nylon tubes, three clamps per side. The brake cylinders are installed so the fitting is to the rear and the nylon tubes are exposed from the fuselage to the brakes. The installation is cheap, light, easy to inspect and has been trouble free for nine years and 400 flight hours.

I didn’t use actual adel clamps to hold the brake lines to the main gear spring, I bought a box of black nylon tubing clamps. I got these either from the hard ware store or Home Depot. I have used them in several places to hold tubes and small wire bundles in place.

Clive, thanks for the pictures.
Did you powder coat the landing gear?

The brake lines run from pedal cylinders through lightning holes under seat & into wing.
I suggest you fit a plate to original pedals to give sufficien leverage to hold for runup

Ray originally sent the legs to a firm for corrosion proofing and painting with 2 pack, he thinks they were nickel plated before painting. This June we replaced the Bungies, cleaned & he repainted the forks & legs etc in 2 pack
