I have been looking, out of interest, at the new UK e go plane development.
Its seems very Europa-esk, but surely they have a limited market and the Europa is already in it. I would have thought few would want a single seater, two is so much better for training and the option of company, and if not, loading the seat with bags and maps etc.
Also, to me it looks like you would only have to pull up a bit quickly to trash the rear prop.
The Europa still ticks so many boxes as far as I can see. I guess a factory build option would be good.

I think the main selling point is it's an SSDA ie unregulated, so no hassle from EASA.

it is nothing like Europa-esk, and with a Wankel engine its resale value would be nil.

Has the SSDA max weight not been increased recently so E Go is now competing with 2 seat micro lights?
My brother was involved in EGo in the early evolution, technically he believes it is sound but the business model especially the numbers they need to sell just do not stack up.

Alan,
There is a proposal from the UK CAA to deregulate single seat microlights with a Max Take off Weight of 300Kg or below. It is not yet approved. Current SSDR aircraft are restricted to a Max Empty Weight of 115KG and also wing loading restrictions. The current “deregulation” is very limiting and is preventing the development of electric powered aircraft and other innovation.
There is no proposal to extend this to two seat aircraft.
