Hello to the group,
I'm in the planning phase of installing a PS Engineering PM3000 Intercom in the panel.
This unit has one switched Auxiliary Stereo Input for music, plus couple un-switched inputs for warnings, etc
I however have two Stereo sources, a harwired Garmin AERA 560 and a music Aux input jack that i plan to install in the panel as well for external music players such Iphone, etc.
The AERA Audio has XM Stereo music, MP3 player Stereo music as well as warnings, that's the reason i like to maintain it as a stereo music/warning source and not just a mono warning source
I like to have both sources to feed the PM3000 switched Stereo Aux Input simultaneously, not thru an A/B switch. I was wondering what you will recommend that i use to properly combine and isolate the two inputs. I'm debating if i should just use passive combining/isolation circuit (resisters in line with both sources) or if i should consider using an active circuit similar to the AMX-4A (previously VX Engineering) or something similar if such a thing exist in the market.
Just seeking input from people that may had to cross this bridge before and have some recommendations
Thanks
Saad
