Hi Levan,
A couple of questions:
(1) Does the fuel cell transmitter need to be removed from the fuel cell in order to install your switch?
(2) On my 680F(p) the main fuel gauge begins to have a very "unsteady hand" below about 60 gallons here in turbulence land. Will this cause the light on the warning system to flicker?
(30 Any idea on hours to install?

As I recall, my 1970 500S had such a warning. When I took delivery of the plane, the warning system was not operating and I nearly ran out of fuel twice as I was transitioning from a plane with 5 hours fuel capacity to the Shrike that had a little over 4 hour fuel capacity.
$4200.00... Wow,that is why I no longer fly a 500S. I now fly a Piper Geronimo. I sure loved the 500S...until I did a spreadsheet on it and discovered what it was costing per hour for me to fly it for pleasure. It doesn't take long to remove the pleasure from it.
I remember that 1/2 of a back door hinge was $950.00 for the part plus install...I still have the part. I also remember that a small hydraulic regulator needed exchange for a rebuilt one and it was $6000.00 plus a core charge.
So I guess that $4200.00 is not "out of line" for the warning system.
