My generator clutch has gone out on my Housai and I'm in the process of trying to remove it. The engine is pulled and the back plate on the accessory section is removed. The locking tab and nut are removed from the backside of the rear bearing of drive gear. It looks like I need a tool to remove the rear bearing...see attached photo. Anyone have the tool or solution?
Oh, and yes the generator drive gear doesn't turn with the prop......

I think that once I get that removed, the clutch assembly can come out the top through the generator mounting hole...

Any and all help is appreciated.

Page 222 shows the accessory case breakdown.

The picture attached shows all the parts int he accessory case. The accessory case attached to the engine from the rear. You will likely need to remove the entire accessory case to access the generator coupling. Once you do, do you have the parts, know all the clearances and torque specs?

I would suggest, you either send the engine or the accessory case to Jill at M-14 if you have the part or if the M-14 part will work. If you remove the accessory case, there is a host of timing issues that will need to be addressed on reinstallation - specifically, the engine timing and the air start distributor timing.
