Quote: | I appreciate you investigating the possibility of having a Missing Man Formation for my father Lt Colonel Robert G Beebe (USAF Retired). He passed away April 10th at the age 89.The funeral will be in Lake City, MI at 11:00am Saturday April 19th with the burial to be immediately following. He was born and raised in Michigan and was stationed there twice in his career. His extended family and many friends are there so the Missing Man Formation would be very meaningful if it was performed at his burial.
My father, Robert G. Beebe, entered the US Army Air Corps in 1943. He was a navigator on a B-24 plane in WWII with the bomber crew 8912 stationed in the Phillipines in 1945. He was in the very first jet fighter pilot class as the US Air Force in 1947, known as the guinea pig class. He retired at the Pentagon in 1967.
