To all my Pulsar friends

Yesterday I went for a flight in my Pulsar XP Series I.
During the flight the FBO called to tell me that they had
my nose gear, that it fell off after my takeoff. I did a
fly by to be sure I had no nose gear. After keeping me in
a holding pattern for some time they closed the runway for
me to land. I landed below stall speed, about 40 mph, and
slid on my nose to a stop. The Pulsar has a lot of damage
around the firewall.

Glad to see the only damage was to the plane and you are ok. Must have been
worrisome waiting to land!

Clarke,

I am sure it is refreshing for all to read, since you did not note any injury to yourself, that despite the damage being cause during the slide on the fuselage nose, you are fine.

I can't help but wonder, probably like many others, what exactly broke off ... wheel, wheel castor, strut to the firewall? As you collect your thoughts, perhaps you can share something you learned about our Pulsars.

Thanks and again, glad you walked away from the incident and shared it with us.

Best regards,

Ronko

Larry

Actually it did not bother me. I did get pissed when
other pilots kept requesting permission to do a touch and
go before I was cleared to land.

Hugh;
My 13th flight in my Pulsar XP the same thing happened to me
but I was taxiing when mine broke. I took it to work and the engineers
there said it was not hardened properly. Called Mark Brown and told
him. He wanted it sent to him so I did with the understanding that
he would send it back because my insurance wanted it. Never heard
another word. This was in 1996.
