No, I have YAK-52 in South Africa.
But I believe the Tires are the same as for the CJ6 and if not, the suppliers should be able to supply the correct tires.

Sorry Paul. Didn't know you were 1) in SA and 2) you had a Yak 52. Yes, the tires and tubes are 100% interchangeable between the two airplanes. Many of our Yak 52 owners here in the US buy the Chinese tires from Doug because they are so reasonable compared to the new Desser tires. Actually about half the price.
It may be beneficial for you and your fellow Yak 52 owners to put together a batch order to Doug for tires. I'm sure Doug will be able to accommodate you. Plus, if needed, I can recommend an international freight shipper other than FEDEX or UPS that has proven to be extremely reasonable. Let me know if you need it.

If one were to bulls eye the tire down to the cord it would be unacceptable for recap?
