Working on a Tiger that has a messed up rivnut for the bracket used when the backseat bottom is in the down position.  

I removed the old rivnut but the hole is all wallored out.  The new rivnut is quit sloppy in the hole.  

I thought about tapping the hole for a 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch bolt.   

Then, I thought about tapping a set screw for 10-32 and installing it.

Then I thought about asking here.

Any thoughts?
