Apologies to those outside the UK who may not know him; Ian has for a long time been the Europa Club Mods Specialist.
Ian and 8 others from the LAA were presented with awards by the patron of the Royal Aero Club, HRH The Duke of York, in a ceremony at the RAF Club on Tuesday 13 May.

I think it's hard to find anyone in the Europa family (also outside the UK) who didn't at least profit in some way from Ian's valuable and outstanding technical knowledge.
His (and Irene's) hospitality on our long way home from Perranporth to Germany (although they didn't even know us personally until this day) my father and me will keep in best memory.
Congrats also from me, Ian!

Many of us owe Ian a debt of gratitude for help and advice received during
and after construction.
It's great that his efforts have been officially recognised.
