I am planning to install a five point harness in my RV.  Question---Dose anyone have information or photo of how to install the center point (crotch belt)?

On the 7 van has an optional kit about 40 bucks if I remember.  Would have been real nice to know before the side skins went on. The parts would be fairly easy to fab out of some .040 but its just as easy to order the kit. You may be able to order the plans but I will try to scan mine as soon as I can get out to the hanger.

The concept is simple two plates with 90 degree flanges blind riveted between the floor ribs( five rivets per side per plate). The top edges are bent to follow the slope of the removable floor plates and are secured to the removable floor pans with nut plates and screws. The plates have a 3/16 space between them with match drilled holes for 5/32 bolt and bushing that go through the metal tab on your crotch belt.

Ed I installed mine in my 7A a little over 1 year ago.  It is straightforward.  I purchased the kit from Van's after I thought about making my own angles.  The hole are punched in the seat skins so you just need to use an angle drill for the rib supports.  Nothing to it really.

Tad

Tad,
I have checked Vans catalog and can only find a P/N Crotch strap kit for the 7 and 9 series only.  The 6 is not listed.  If someone has photos or plans for the 6 I could use to install.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed I would call them in the am.  I would be the 7 install could be used for the 6 also.  The only issue may be the opening in the floorboard.
