Jim Bernier and I are going to undertake the task of changing the rubber engine mounts on our CJs this coming weekend. All hoses and controls have already been disconnected. Does anyone have any other words of wisdom before we start this task? Thanks in advance.

Use all NEW bolts and hardware.

I have some that come to mind. Caveat: I'm no mechanic. I don't even play one on TV. I'm not even a particularly good pilot, or person for that matter...
 *  Never reuse a rubber.
 *  I think there is some temptation to omit the rubber, going bareback. Some pilots think that this enhances the 'feel' of flying. This is a horrible mistake. The risks involved are serious and very real. Always use a rubber, even if you think you don't need it.
 *  Maybe keep a supply of extra rubbers on hand, just in case one or more are unsuitable for whatever reasons.
 *  The Chinese rubbers are significantly smaller than the Russian ones, from what I understand. Obviously, American ones are quite large.
 *  Anything I'm missing?

You don't have to disconnect the hoses etc to replace the rubbers, lift the weight of the engine with an engine crane and just do one (or two if there's two of you) at a time. mags will have to come off doing this.
