Just finished watching a BBC program; Britain's flying past...the
Spitfire... specifically...MH434....single seater... I tried very hard
to get the number of the two seater...that was featured toward the end
of the hour long program...but could not...John Sergeant narrated and
copped a ride toward the end of the story ...

wondering if that mystery plane is the one in which Pat will get his
ride ? What say Pat...? Herb

by the way...for you long in the tooth guys, like myself who despise
the vast waste land that American TV has become; the BBC has produced
thousands of World class programs over the decades...downloadable
..Just search BBC on The Pirate Bay...

and to keep it Kolb related...Installed full enclosure
today...pretty symmetrical for a "Herb Job". I need another piece of
aluminum angle to attach to the lexan, on which the latches will be
fastened...Real Close..Tubing came in with which to re make the right
side lift struts... I think I can cut to length, drill and paint in one
day...

Does an hour back seat ride in an A-7 with an emergency landing or taxi ride in a B-57G count?

Dropper to 10' and flew the Eiger glacier. Landed north of Lugano and could see all the way down the Italian boot. At one point had a Swiss Air 747 doing a turn around us. Best day of my life---- with my pants on. Cost about $2200USD. That included meals and a hotel for the night before. Lifted off with 120 gallons of propane and landed with less than 10--phew.
