I have just stuck my wing skins (XS trigear)  on and there seems to be a slight mismatch...the rear wing skins being a smidgen (1/16 - 1/32) higher.
What is the the approved process for correcting this...sand and fill?
And if so how fast from the join should one go?

William, It is central to the laminar flow aerofoil that you end up with a smooth upper wing, so fill & sand. The only critical rule so far as the sanding goes is that you must not sand into the cloth as this reduces the structural strength of the wing. So you can sand through the gel coat until you can just see the cloth, but no further - the rest of the profiling should be through filling the front side of the join. there is a rule of thumb about this, using a 6"steel rule, press it onto the surface with thumb
and finger 2" apart, then try and slip a .002" feeler gauge under the rule. There should be no

gaps greater than this anywhere. In other words, its the waviness of the surface in a chordwise direction

that's important. Spanwise waviness is cosmetic. Be very careful at the extreme leading edge not to
sand off the sharp radius at the front. That will spoil the stall behaviour.

Fortunately I wont even come close to the leading edge and the difference is very small...so I am thinking of sanding forward of the join maybe 2" and taking off the gel coat rear of the join.
By the way has anyone inspected the bonding?  I was thinking of using one of those endoscope/inspection cameras through a 10mm hole in the rear skin (forward of the flap) .  Peace of mind I suppose.  The close out forward of the flap is a very light weight affair and can not be that critical to the wing strength.
