Hi all,

For 7F10-2 Channel Doubler on the forward fuselage, the manual says an angle drill is required. It is not obvious why, but I went looking for one and have not found anything priced commensurate
with the job. Is an angle drill really necessary for this part and possibly others. If so, does anybody have suggestions of where to find one in Canada.

Regards,

Perry

I found a used "pancake" drill attachment for the tight places on my
750. I've been very happy with it.

I made the mistake of buying one of the "off the shelf" right angle drills from a Big Box Store to save money. One of my dumb moves while building my 701. I finally bought the right tool with bits and was amazed at how many times I needed that drill. Do yourself a favor and get one with a small head to get into those tight spots. Just my opinion. Got my 701 inspected and now ready to fly as soon as warm weather hits Wisconsin.

Hi Perry.
I do not recall using an angle drill at any time during the build 20 years
ago but I have purchased one since and used it on a few occasions. I have
both the drill and an angle adaptor for an ordinary drill purchased at
Princess Auto in Ottawa at a very reasonable price. Hope this helps.
