FireFlyers & Kolbers,
I have finished Bing leaning out studies for the Victor 1+. Basically, I
have been able to validate the fuel consumption curve provided by Speedwing,
the North American engine distributor for Simonini. When I can keep the EGT
up the engine walks the line. I do not believe it is possible to fly my
engine and obtain the fuel flow rates that Simonini publishes.
I have added an update to the bottom of:

The next problem is how to keep the EGT up without having to fool around
with the needle, shims and clip, and do it while in the air. I am going to
revisit variable pressure reduction over the float bowl.
------------------------------
I hope all had a good July 4th. Big family gathering here at my daughter's
house. Typically, I do a flyby but the weather was horrible. But the sun
broke through and opened a thirty minute window, and so I got to fly.

Jack, I have most of the important parts for a Dial-A -Jet kit in my
garage, and just reading between the lines of what you are doing, if you
could run a way to adjust the Dial-A-Jet while in flight, (Old
speedometer cable?) you might be able to get your mixture to do what you
want.
Send me your address and I'll box it up and send it to you, it's yours
if you want it.
Here are some details of the thing -
