No Doc, you cannot put this in line with the tach generator.
You can put it across the power leads to your VHF radio (like it suggests), or the power leads of any other device that you want to try and filter out noise from.
If you suspect power spikes the transorp would also be useful in certain situations.

Copy misinterpret the meaning of near the source. Will try adding both to see if that improves anything. Still three to four months away from worrying about that. Will do that before the tanks go back in. About halfway through moving the oil cooler to the wing root along with half of the control surfaces recovered. Only so many hours in the day and weeks in the month.
