Hi All,
Newly 'overhauled' HS6A from China, just installed.
Hit start and sometimes the blades just rock back and forth, more often than not they just stop on a compression. Occasionally it’ll leak straight out exhaust valve but not always… is this a case of mis-timed distributor?

I've seen this before on an engine from China. The problem was a couple of air pipes crossed up on the distributor. Starting with #4 work your way around the distributor checking each pipe goes to the correct cylinder. The firing order is 4 6 8 1 3 5 7 9 2
There is a procedure for timing the distributor which is not difficult once you get your head around it but I don't think this is your problem.

Turns out it was as Lancer predicted, pipes were on wrong. 4 6 8 1 3 7 9 5 2! Swapped them around to correct order and she starts fine.
