 In stead of plastic wrap (cling film) I used Duct Tape.

It sounds as if your plastic wrap is too thin.  I had used visqueen about

.004" thick.  Removal involved getting an edge of a razor under a corner to

lift it and then peeling it off by hand.

Dan,



It may be easier to stop the plastic from sticking in the first place.  We

generally coat the film (or clear packing tape) with mold release (bought

from Aircraft Spruce, but it looks pretty much like ordinary paste wax for

cars).  The layup comes right off after it's set.  The wax residue is easily

cleaned off with solvent, if you need to bond or paint the surface later.

I find that the plastic wrap always sticks to the layup if it is left on for 

more than a couple of days or if the layup is cured with the plastic wrap in 

place..

Hi Dan,



Try using clear packing tape on the peice you are molding against, and 

peel ply for the first layer of the layup. Then when cured the layup 

comes off the taped mold. Then peel the peel ply off the new part and it 

is ready to bond, no sanding.
