Guys,
I need the pop off valve piston (with the rubber end) for my Yak-18T. It is a slightly smaller diameter than the one for the '52. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure this may be the answer because I personally do not know what the 18T pop off valve piston looks like. But it may be the same as the one in the CJ6. Maybe Doug Sapp can post a photo of the pop off valve piston and you can compare it to what yours looks like?

That's what I was thinking too. But Patrick did say it was a slightly smaller diameter.
Patrick, if you are reading this, maybe you could use your vernier caliper and measure the diameter and height of the piston and post a photo to the list. Possibly someone on the list will be able to answer your question.

It is not the same as the yak 52. We sent him two of the Yak 52 units and they were a larger diameter and he needed.

He may then have to swap the entire pop off valve cross assembly and attaching check valves for the one used on the CJ because those parts are readily available.

The Yak55 piston for the pop off valve is slightly smaller that for the Yak 52 as supplied by Jill at M14P. I mounted the piston on a wooden dowel and put the dowel in an electric drill as spun the piston walls against emery paper to turn the piston down to size. It works just fine. It's been 8 years now.

The valve plunger inside the CJ pop off valve measures 0.4900 tall (12.45mm) and 0.4680 (11.89mm) dia.

The Yak55 piston for the pop off valve is slightly smaller that for the Yak 52 as supplied by Jill at M14P. I mounted the piston on a wooden dowel and put the dowel in an electric drill as spun the piston walls against emery paper to turn the piston down to size. It works just fine. It's been 8 years now.
