Anyone have experience or advise on removing a leaking rear expansion plug in a hollow crank. It is loose in the crank and needs to be removed and insert a new one. Any advice or experiences doing this procedure would be appreciated.

Is it possible that the one that is installed only needs seated?
I have a friend that had his 360 overhauled. When it came back, it flew
fine for about 100-hours then the prop would go to high RPM. The cause
was found to be the rear plug was not seated properly. A tool was
fabricated by one of his machinist friends and the plug was seated.
That was over 1,000 flying hours ago without any additional prop going
to high RPM without the blue knob being pushed forward.
