Hello all.

Thanks for a great forum! The amount of great information going around is staggering.

I bought a Classic monowheel about a year ago. I want to change the tire as it appears to be very old. On trying to remove the stub axles, I found them immovable. I have tried all manner of persuasion with no luck, including a purpose made tool that forces two sharp wedges under the flange from opposite sides. It can apply considerable force. Still to no avail. All I can think is that the axle tube has rusted solid into the stub axles due to NO maintenance by previous owner. Does any one have some ideas?

Thanks, Glenn Perry

Good Evening Glenn!
Are you pretty sure you have opened all the fasteners?
Sorry if this is a stupid advice, but there is one hex screw inside the axle - have you noticed that one?
(itīs possible I remember wrong, last time I opened it was about three years ago, when I put nitrogen + antipuncturesauce into my inner tube) Cheers,

Did you remove the bolt that runs thru the middle of the stub axles?
Just a thought.

Hi Glenn,
If in doubt refer to sectional drawing of your assembly in the EUROPA Build
manual page 29M-9 issue 1 available either in your build manual or on line
from EUROPA AIRCRAFT.
It shows the internal bolt that people are referring you to and which is
probably why you are experiencing difficulties.
Hope this helps

Hi Glenn,
Just one further bit of clarification re my last posting. The bolt is
described as a socket head CAP screw M6 X 150.
