Dan: You need to use the actual measurement of your wheels from the
datum line on your plane. It does make a difference in what your center
of gravity is compared to the sample Van' shows. However, make certain
your main wheels are tracking parallel. A slight rotation of the main
gear legs in the mounting bracket not only affects tracking but also
positions the wheel more forward or back. The pilot holes in the gear
leg mounting brackets may not be right. I have addressed this before
