My right wingtip strobe light has failed. The left works fine and the right has that "burned out" appearance with black shading inside. See attached. I bought a new Whelen brand strobe thinking it would be a direct replacement... I was wrong. The base of the Whelen is not pliable and is too large to fit inside the glass globe. The old light has a very pliable silicone base and doesn't have the loop in the glass like the whelen light. My airplane was imported by Yakkity Yaks in 1995 and I'm presuming they used similar if not exact same parts on most of their imports. So here's the question, does anyone have a clue as to the brand name of these tip strobes? Also any suggestions on repair or replacement are welcome.

Thanks in advance Red Stars.

JB

I think it is an Aeroflash unit:
