Hello,
Last week, I flew the YAK52 and everything was normal, after the start, the bottle was charged even before take off. Then, on another flight, I started the engine, the gage indicated around 30, during the warm up, taxi and all flight (30 min), the air system went down to 20 due to use of flaps and gear retraction/extension. I hear a light leak but not sure of the origine.
Today, same thing happened. First flight was non event, second flight, same problem.
Any input?
Raf

Are you saying the main air system is not recharging to whatever the pop
off valve/pressure relief valve is set to?
When you turn on the main air valve, do you hear any air leaks coming
from the gear selectorin the front cockpit?
With the rudder pedals centered, do you hear any air leaks coming from
what sounds like under the floor behind the front seat.
Are you certain the snot bottle is fully closed?
Quote: | From your description of the problem, there are too many things it COULD
be. Lets try to isolate the problem. You can email me off list if you
|
prefer and we will go though this step by step.

You could hear a faint leak in flight?
If you hear a faint leak from what direction does it come from?

Hello,
Since the last flight, we put Nitrogen in the system to refill it. Pressure was 35, I started and then the compressor and air bootle started to charge. No leak was hear, the charge was good.
One question, I 've seen that some guy put a little Oil to make sure the valves close/open correctly. I put the plane for storage over the winter, maybe some Humidity has entered valves?
Is it possible?
