Working thru wiring on CJ-6A B&C 35 amp alternator conversion. Accessed the original generator regulator terminal block (6 terminals) on the upper back/right side of the "false firewall" and trying to figure out the small wires on the far left/right end of its terminal block. I've attached my sketch of the terminal block referencing the Chinese diagram inside the terminal block as well as the B&C LS1A regulator.

Since the far left terminal small wire was bundled with the generator output wires, I'm assuming the far left terminal is a chassis ground from generator to regulator (terminal appears to have a chassis ground symbol, though upside down). When I checked continuity from generator end to regulator end of the associated small wire it was an open circuit..but given age I wouldn't be surprised if that was just down to a broken wire.
No idea what the far right terminal symbols represent and the purpose of that wire....
For the LS-1A reg, any harm in connecting the alternator end of the CH (-) wire to the alternator mount stud (engine case), and after installing a two terminal (+/-) splice block near the LS-1A reg, using one terminal to splice the old (-) terminal wires together (originally ran in/out from the CH regulator), and then running the LS-1A terminal 7 and ground stud to the same newly installed block (-) terminal? Other terminal would splice the (+) wires that originally ran thru the CH regulator.

I plan on leaving in the filter on the left side of the false firewall, assuming not an issue. Anything special to retain use of the same warning light/volt/ammeter as CH?
Are the two small unknown use original CH wires (far left/right of the CH reg block) needed for any of the above?

Left/right on sketch equates to port/starboard on airframe.
Thanks,
Rich
