I might not be the best one to answer your question since I am still at the 90% level but I put mine on a shelf behind the baggage compartment. Leveled from front to back and side to side as far from any potential interference as possible. Just bonded two angled alum pieces on each side and then a shelf between them.

Hope this helps.

G’Day guys ..,
I have a GRT Mini ... mounted on the panel ...( TR1 ) ... my set up is 50/50 .. (stream plus glass ) .. the Mini has integrated AHRS .. so that’s easy ... but yep have to mount the Magnetometer.. thinking inside Wing Tip fairing ... not operating as yet as still finishing up accessories of Engine install ( Subaru ) ... been a long process but nearing first start .... oil, Water, Fuel in this wk ... so ...,
The Mini is small ... which model did u choose ..? Reading the Manual is quite a “ head full “ .... ,
Cheers,
Graham Brighton

I put the magnetometer behind the bulkhead on a small fiberglass shelf. AHRS was in the panel unit. This has worked well.

I am going with the MGL LITE in a TR-4 that does not have a remote AHRS.
While still planning for a remote AHRS my thinking was to mount a back-up
battery under the passenger seat on Velcro and mount the AHRS on top of the
battery with a second layer of Velcro. The theory was that the combination
of the mass of the battery and the Velcro would dampen some of the
vibration. Having it under the seat would place it close to the roll centre.
My magnetometer is in the left hand tip of the horizontal stabiliser.
Nothing proven as I am not flying yet
Keep well
Mike
