Does anyone know of a source for the proper airspeed indicator placards for a Yak 50.  Is just a redline used?  Is a yellow arc ever used on the Yak 50?Thank you.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen either a yellow or red arc on a 50.

Richard is correct, the original instruments  don’t have a coloured arc.

Today in EASA-Europe, it depends what must be done. Each country has other rules for Annexe II aircraft.

Generaly, if the plane is registered as an oldtimer (the definition varies between the members states of the EU), then it’s not necessary to modify the airspeed indicator.
In all other cases, even for non-certified aircraft, the airspeed indicator must follow the rules as for certified aircraft.

We have a French registered Yak 52 at our airfield and on this plane we had to modify the instrument.
We did it the easy way, painting the outer ring of the instrument.
