Hi All,
I've noticed twice now that my carb (overhauled unit w/ ~50 hrs on it) will leak gas after I land and refuel.
More detail:
ø It seems to leak through the throat of the carb
ø It drips once every 3-5 sec
ø I only have noticed it immediately post-fueling (perhaps it was dripping after shutdown, but I didn't notice)
Today I think it dripped for around 45min after fueling. Weird.
Any thoughts on what could be responsible? When the engine is running I would expect all of this fuel to be sucked into the carb itself. Relative to the amount of fuel an M14 uses this should be trivial.
Many thanks,
Andrew

Call whoever overhauled the carburetor for you and tell them the carb is leaking and ask them to repair it.

We overhauled it, and of course stand by it! Normally I would put it down to a faulty membrane, but it was new and therefore most unlikely. But I suspect it is a sticking fuel valve. We will be looking into it.

Just because I'm a curious kind of guy after it stops leaking and you pressurize the system side with the primer does it start leaking again?

What's interesting is that I tried shutting off the plane today by pulling the fuel shutoff valve several times. The engine dies around 10sec later, but the carb still drips! Was not expecting that.
