i weigh 260 lbs..... am i too heavy for the Firestar/FireFly? ...

I suppose that it all depends on the weight of your plane and your ability to get into it. I have flown mine at 250, with full fuel. I wheezed a bit getting in. As long as you and the plane weighs less than about 780 you should be able to fly it. larry

The Firestar 2 probably has enough load-carrying capability to fly a large pilot with a good safety margin because it is a "two seat" aircraft. You can put one full size pilot and one small passenger in it. So a larger pilot would fly it as a single seat aircraft.This is what I am doing with mine.
The Firefly I have no idea about, but there are many many knowledgeable people who have direct experience with that aircraft on this Kolb forum.

Do a weight and balance for your plane to see the maximum weight for your particular plane. The builder is considered the manufacturer so every plane is somewhat different. If you move weight around to get it within Center of Gravity and under gross, it will fly and land safely.
