I have the original tow bar, and already fell on my ass while pulling with all my strenght and the bar came off.

Also it is useless for pushing the plane back into the hangar.

Any recommendations on a tow bar or tug for the CJ 6?

If it is a good tow bar that is not the single axle kind, I would not mind it.

I was looking at this one, does anyone uses this? Its quite expensive though.

The correct tow bar is L shaped, having the leg of the L going through the nose wheel axle. Sorry no stock at this time.  I have not stocked this part because it is rather expensive and the avg CJ driver is not willing to pay close to $300.00 for a tow bar.
One note on tugging the CJ6:
Be careful to not exceed the mfg's stops when turning sharply left or right.  It can get expensive real quickly.

I use this to move my CJ around.  The unit can have what they call Yak attachments that work on the CJ great.  They are extra and work really well.

Doug is correct about the left and right limits... Sadly this was a hard lesson learned at Sun-N-Fun for one of our CJ owners this year. The ramp guys starting pushing the airplane backwards with a tug and exceeding the limits breaking the scissors linkage and other damage.

I use this one with a golf cart (google Spoty's universal tow bar https://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/universal-aircraft-towbar.html) and for moving by hand, I use my old Mooney tow bar... it is a little loose, but I wrapped some duct tape around it an it works fine. I've seen others who simply use water pipes with a 90 degree fitting.

Just remember Doug Sapp's caution note about limits...

This is what I use. It’s a remote controlled tug that has made moving the CJ-6A simple and easy.

A Stearman PT-17 owner who shares our hangar uses the same model for the tail wheel.

The version that works best with the nose wheel of the CJ is T1V2

Years ago I fabricated a tow bar with pre-threaded galvanized pipe sections and joints from Home Depot. If memory serves me correctly, 1" pipe fits nicely through the nose wheel on a CJ. Shortly, however,  I tired of pulling and pushing 2+ tons around, so I bought a tug. http://www.powertow.com/40-EZ-Aircraft-Tug_p_14.html
Also, Redline Aviation, an RPA Red Alert sponsor, sells the electric "Sidewinder." Not cheap, bit handy. https://www.redlineaviation.com/mooney/sidewinder-mooney-airplanes/

Similar story for me. Used the original heavy Chinese one for years on my own and customer CJ’s until a new arrival at our field turned out to be a Supertow dealer. He decided I should have the Supertow 1 for the CJ’s and I kind of agreed with him. He also needed a new AWD complied with on his twin so a deal was struck!
Been using it for about 8 years now. Works great. Some problems with the lazy-susan resolved by replacing factory bolts with NAS high tensile units.

Sorry for the lousy photos. Too damn old for smart phones & computers.

Photo 1; Front view of strut, rotating collar and stop lug.

" " 2. RH view of LH turn fixed stop (FWD).

" " 3. RH view of RH turn fixed stop (AFT)

The rotating collar of course is attached directly to the wheel fork and
inner strut through the scissor links. If the forced turn with a tug is
carried to stop contact (red on red) in either direction any further turn
will break something.
