Hi All 

I'm installing the Jamar brakes into my XS trigear as per the manual but it's a bit lacking on where to run the brake lines or install the master reservoir. 

Can any of you advise of good routing and positioning plus any pitfalls to avoid??

Fit the reservoir as high as possible in the tunnel so itâ€™s above the level of 

the master cylinders,  ( will help bleeding)

I hope you have more luck with the jamars than I

Did, had three over a number of years so changed to matco cylinders

That have worked fine for seven years,

My first Jamar had dissimilar rubber seals so one swelled up and jammed 

IMO very poor quality and would definitely strip and clean before installing,

I made a large inspection plate per Nev's instructions where the Mono Wheel would normally go.Â  You can fit the brakes master cylinder through this hole from the underneath of the tunnel.Â  Â I made a ply/bid reinforcement mounting for the top of the tunnel and cut slots through that for the brake levers.Â  Â The brake lines can then be routed down the tunnel aft of the baggage bay to a hole to the rear of the legs and thence down the leg.Â  I left a considerable service loop in the hydraulic lines which permits removing the masters and hanging it from a convenient support above the level of the rest of the system for bleeding.
