I'm in need of a fuel tank sealant on a metal tank using diesel fuel, NOT on an airplane and a very slow leak.  What would the experts suggest

This tank is an already enclosed tank which the biggest access about a 2" dia neck.  Can I just clean tank with ????? muratic acid or something and pour the suff in... If so how much.  The tank is only leaking on the bottom, which is about 10" wide by 48" long.  Bob U.

Did you manually “slather” it on? I can’t see it being allowed to slosh. Unless you reduced it with something.
