Pulsar Spar Fitting

Pulsar Builders/Owners,



I have an issue that is quite perplexing to me. It involves the placement the spars. 



After dry fitting the spars it has come to my attention the they will not be aligned correctly.



How on earth can a person join the two spars per the manual's instructions and one of them not be out of alignment?



The Spars, as you all well know, are in the shapes of a reversed C, smooth side is the forward side, The plans call for the spars to overlap. How can there not be a miss aligned wing spar using this method? 



I'm sure I am missing something here but I just don't understand the methodology behind this.



The measurement from the front of the leading edge at the wing root to each 

 forward cut out line and the spar slot measures at 12 inches for both starboard and port. 



Given that the spars are manufactured in the shape of a reverse C and they are to overlap one another, wouldn't this cause a misalignment??



ANY clarification on this task will b more than appreciated. 



If I need to provide a drawing or picture I can do so.

I think the wings are staggered by the amount of spar stagger.

Be sure to check the pitch of one wing compared to the other wing before installing.  I seem to remember needing 7 lawyers of tape to bring them into alignment.

One wing is further forward than the other by the width of the spar (intentionally).Sonja

You will also probably find that the lower left aft fuselage wing fillet does not match up with the lower aft wing surface.  The difference may be as much as 1/4 inch or more due to a mold error.  I resolved that issue on my XP by cutting out an area of the lower fuselage approximately 3 X 4 inches and re glassing it to match the adjacent wing structure (not critical load bering structure).Dave Weaver

Thank you for your input I will check on all of the information you all provided me when I get home from work this afternoon.



I am just thankful to know that I was not going crazy!! LOL!!



I suspected something wasn't correct. 



When I think of any aircraft building process I think of precision. Thanks for all of your help, guidance, and wisdom.
