I can see the picture. The flooding looks pretty bad. I've been watching those storms move through the Midwest and including Texas, because I have a grand-niece who's soon coming to see me from Missouri.
Bob, may I make a suggestion? Since some of us can see these attachments and others can't, why don't you use a cloud service? For example, the link below will take you to a picture I recently took of my youngest pussycat. It's uploaded to my OneDrive cloud, which comes with Office365. You can read but not write. Microsoft maintains this cloud, so the chances of losing data are minimal. I can right click on any file and select "Share a OneDrive link," which results in the link below generated to my clipboard. This way, there are no attachments - just text.
I'm not trying to push Office365 on anyone. There are plenty of other cloud services out there that most likely offer such file sharing links. Office365 just happens to come with 6 subscriptions, each having 1 TB of cloud space.

FWIW I see both images OK (embedded and attached). I use a slightly
older version of Thunderbird for email and Firefox for a browser with
windows 7.

For those whose email shows EMACS instead of pictures, all they have to do is go to the Matronics website.

I am in exactly the same boat ... Thunderbird and Win7
Always get the inline and attached photos
The cloud pic, above, of the cat, took about a minute to download, while
the inline ones are downloaded automatically, which saves waiting ..
