To All
I have a model 1 with 503, Hegar cog belt drive.
There is a good vibration at 4000 to 5500 rpm.
I have changed the bearings in the propeller pulley, put a new belt on it. Checked the pitch on the propeller and checked the motor mounts. All seems to be ok.
CHT and exhaust temps are in the normal range.
The noise sounds like a screeching sound. And only occurs after leaving the ground and doesn't stop till back on the ground again. And does it all rpms while in the air.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks Jeff Scovill

Check your blade tracking??? Also do not just limit it to an engine problem.
