Anyone travelling to Gap from the North should be aware of a wide Temporary restricted area (ZRT) around Lyon active from SFC to FL065 active from 12/6/19 to 16/6/19. See SUP AIP 142/19 available on SIA site. David Joyce GXSDJ

Hi David.
Yes, I saw that, but it looks like as long as you stay out of class C & D airspace and the area marked in black on the attached SUP, you should be OK. I'll try and get through to SIA today to confirm it in any case.

Carl, On the face of it going round to the west is no great problem even if you cannot get a transit. Weather looks rather more of an issue! David

I'm planning to head to the east so I can fly over Grenoble and through the Alps (same as last year) so my son can experience the fantastic scenery.
The weather is looking a little more promising now, but it'll be raining when we get back to the UK. Anyway, Thursday PM is decision time.
