where are RV10 owners insuring these days? what kind of rates are they quoting?

Falcon.  it was $1515, went up to $1622.

~$2400 for $1M smooth.  ~200hrs in type, ASEL, IFR.

Mine went up (again) this year, about another 10%.

Hull value $230k

1 million liability with 200k sublimits (smooth not available).

$3289



I use Gallagher, insured through Old Republic.



900+ hours total time, >250 in the RV-10.  No claim history.  I am not instrument rated.

I’m prepping for my first flight now.  I have 3.3 hours of transition training (0 time in type basically, 600 total hours and instrument rated)



Attached are the terms of the full motion quote from AIG. The total annual premium is $2,937.

 

2019 Vans RV 10

Hull value: $200,000

Deductibles: $0

Medical payments: $5000 per occupant

Liability: $1,000,000 / $100,000 per passenger sub limit

Pilot: must receive 1 hour dual instruction and then fly one hour solo prior to passengers. 

The CFI must be approved by AIG prior to performing the dual requirement.

I use Gallagher with Old Republic. $2575 for $1 mill, with $200K per person.

$175K Hull. (still unpainted).



Comm ASMEL-I ~ 2200 TT, 270 RV-10, no claims last 20 yrs. Increase of about $200 this past year.
