Hello fellow flyers:
I bought a firestar11 recently and I have been replacing parts for safety.inspecting the oil injection cable I noticed the cable that connects to the oil control arm looks really worn. There is a washer behind the connection that looks like it would come off without much pressure (as seen in the picture)I can just see it coming off and going into the prop.I just need to know how long the cable is so I can replace it. It’s a rotax 503 dual bing carbs/plugs up. I know there are different lengths for different applications I tried to measure it carefully with a cloth flexible seamstress tape but decided to ask my pilot friends. Thanks for any help....Dana

If the end of your cable is bad, you can shorten it a bit as long as you shorten the cable sheath an equal amount. If I remember correctly, this fitting is a perfect fit and quite well made: https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/wireswivels.php
Azusa wire swivel part #2361, costs .80, plus $5 shipping... <grin>
