See if I can get some responses in here...So what are you other builders working on at the moment. Are there any other builders reading this list?
I'm currently building myself a 12 foot table so I can build the stabilizer and elevator spars, then keep it around for doing the ailerons and flaps when I get there. I'm taking my sweet time with it because I want it to be solid and level for jigging. The 2x6's I bought aren't the best quality but we will see if I can manage it. I've had a difficult time getting the 3" wood screws in there, even with pilot holes, but half the structure is done so far.
Also, I developed a Falco flight model for X-plane v8 a little while back. It only took me a few days to come up with a basic model, so it's far from perfect but it is generally similar. I did take the time to try and get the shape proportions correct and generate lift and drag curves for the specific falco wings, but there is always room for improvement. I wanted to be able to play around with the speeds and get a feel for the different flight configurations of the Falco. The model is mostly stable and will generally follow the power characteristics of the Falco and has a photo-realistic cockpit look (thanks to Doug Henson) but basic x-plane instruments just for simplicity. I've attached a couple screenshots of flying around in Southern California in the simulator.
This is obviously for those of us without an actual flying Falco because why on Earth would you fly it in the simulator if you had one in a hanger, but if you are interested, I'm really curious what experienced Falco pilots feel about the flight model. If anyone is interested, drop me a note.

Building those tables and jigs can be time consuming - but worth it to get good results. Mine is so close to being finished it hurts not to have time to work on it. But hopefully I can find reliable staff so that I can take time off to finish it soon.
General question: Has anybody installed GPS antennae inside the fuselage or do they HAVE to be mounted on the exterior.

Graeme.. my GPS antenna is internal.. I've got mine behind the panel so
there is plywwod and perspex to get through.. absolutely no problem
whatsoever.
Only tin can owners need worry about it
